Great Start for Getting Naked at the Hilton

I must be doing something right or somebody likes me. My latest book, a hot little number titled, Getting Naked at the Hilton, won’t be coming out until February 15th, seventeen days from now and it has received two five star reviews and a very nice unrated review. For your pleasure, here is the blurb and the unrated review.

Blurb – Getting Naked (373)

For Rachel Cooke, sex isn’t dirty; it’s a celebration of life. She doesn’t give it to just anyone, but once she does, she doesn’t slow down, so prepare for the sexual roller coaster ride of your life.
Rachel, can’t help but notice the luscious man sitting next to her at the bar in Pokey’s Las Vegas restaurant and lounge. Rachel, a singer and performer at the club, studies the man. His name is Scott. He seems preoccupied about something, but when he begins mumbling indelicacies about Reverend Falwell and someone named Carol, Rachel’s innocent question seems to set inevitable romantic forces in motion.

They go dancing and as the evening progresses, so does their attraction. It’s evident they desire each other, intimately, but Rachel has issues. It’s not obvious, but Rachel has a mixed race background and after just ending a disastrous relationship with Lester, her agent, she is not about to get close to anyone without laying her cards on the table. When Scott casually remarks that like her, he too, is only interested in getting to know her and if she happened to be sitting naked next to him, he wouldn’t lay a hand on her. She takes him up on it.

This leads to our couple spending an informative though, sexless night, fully naked in her Hilton hotel suite, a test of his resolve and character. In reality, Scott has no idea of the sexual adventuress that lies beneath Rachel’s demur, delightfully perky persona and after a wet hot passionate interlude in the shower, the following morning, all hell breaks loose and they wind up making love everywhere. Even in the depths of Hoover Dam.

Rachel and Scott stay by each other’s side for days and both come to the conclusion that they have or are about fall in love with each other. It appears to be a match made in heaven, until trouble appears in the form of a snake bearing an apple. The snake is Lester Wilkins, Rachel’s agent and former boyfriend, who will do anything to get her back and the apple is a series of well paying long engagements out of town clubs, where she will be away from Scott and within the clutches of Lester.

This is an interesting scenario, and a wonderfully playful romance.

Carol had stood him up. Just as Scott Rader was fuming at being stood up at the bar they were supposed to meet, he is treated to the lovely form of Rachel Cooke. He was immediately hooked and forgot all about Carol. After taking her dancing he wanted to get to know her more and she did not believe that was all he was after. When he said “if you were sitting here naked, right in from of me, I wouldn’t lay a hand on you. We would just talk. I swear.” She was determined to test the strength of those words, and his character.

Rachel Cooke had been dumped very recently because of her mixed heritage and she was not about to jump in the sack with someone who would hurt her again. She needed some answers before she took the next step, so Scott’s offer to just talk was right up her alley. The idea of getting naked together and keeping hands off was interesting and would prove something to both of them. Her room at the Hilton would do just fine.

This book starts out fast and never lets you down. It is a fast paced yet humorously intense romance. The story line is full of twists as the ex-boyfriend/manager, her music partner, and uncle get involved in the budding relationship. To save her from her ex/manager Scott must work fast and strike some deals from friends in the hotel business to further her carrier and keep her from leaving Vegas. As love blooms they can’t get enough of each other. The sex is great, the passion is real and the emotions are out front for each to see.
