Love and Seduction in Las Vegas by Dee Dawning

Love and Seduction in Las Vegas by Dee Dawning
Publisher: Book Strand
Genre: Contemporary erotica

LoveandSeductioninLasVegas_Front-Da sm

Summary: Thrust into her life one night by peculiar circumstances, Loretta Bishop, seventeen years Bobby’s senior, has been tasked with taking the shy, modest pretty boy under her wing and turning him into a lady’s man. Free spirited and sexually adventurous, Loretta is eminently qualified to teach him the elements of pursuit, seduction, and how to please women. At first, being with Bobby seems like a dream, but clouds begin to gather from Loretta’s spotty and sometime sordid past. Feeling guilt after Bobby asks to marry her, Loretta is no longer able to continue and runs away. Now, it’s up to Bobby to put the methods Loretta has taught him to practical use. Will he succeed and parlay his new talents into love, wealth, and power?

[Erotic Contemporary Multiple Partner Romance: Contains graphic sexual content and adult language.]

My Review: You are sooo going to need a box of Kleenex and a good bottle of wine before this tale is done.

The story starts out a little different then I am used to, both points of view are used and I have to say it was really refreshing. We meet Loretta, or as she likes to be called Ella, in the bathroom of a casino in Tahoe, CA. She is working her shift and is bone tired. She meets a lovely young girl with her beautiful daughter and is captivated by her blue eyes. She begins to recall the only other person who had eyes like she did.

From there it is a whirlwind of her past life and times. We meet Loretta at a young age hurting and desperate to make something of herself. We see her progress and change and become a very sexual woman, self confident and unthawed by what people might think of her.

As the story unfolds we meet Bobby, a very shy insecure boy who needs help with his love making skills. He has been shunned by his wife and left behind by her and a casino pit manager. Loretta agrees to help him on the condition that they don’t fall for each other, the big reason being their age difference, she was 17 years his senior.

In the week they spend together, they become very close and Ella, just can’t get over the fact that Bobby looks like someone from her past. But as we all know we can’t always have a great book with no conflict or hurt and yeah now is when you need the Kleenex. Bobby says some things that hurt Ella and she leaves him. She can’t believe he would use what she had done in her past against her and she can’t believe she has feelings for him.

Months pass and we get to see everything from Bobby’s eyes and for the first time I was thoroughly upset with the whole story. The way he treats his wife is appalling and yes I can understand he was hurt but what he does to her is demeaning and just not right. But I was determined to see this story through, I thought surely there has to be a redeeming quality here, maybe it was the hurt talking and acting in this and I needed to give it a chance.

I was glad I did, as everything comes to a head we find out about his wife’s childhood and we see real remorse for what Bobby has done to make her problem worse.

In the end, more than ten years from where we started everyone’s lives have been woven together to form a truly romantic and heart felt feel good book. If I have anything negative to say it is watch your dates, Ms. Dawning refers to a particular date more then once, but when you see it repeated through the latter half of the book it has changed from June of 1976 to June of 1985. Easy mistake and truthfully it didn’t distract from the story.

All and I was left with a big ‘ol sappy feeling in the pit of my heart, I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something sweet but a little naughty.

SEX IN A PUBLIC PLACE

homepageTo some the idea of sex in public is anathema. To others it’s an intriguing fantasy or even practice. I’ll admit I sometimes have this fantasy. Have I ever acted this fantasy out? Somewhat, in a car parked in the desert, covered up in the back of a pick up truck in a drive-in movie theater, (remember them?) and finally, on a balcony in the middle of the night.

Couple 010What do people find so fascinating about having sex in public? It has to be the the chance of being discovered—of being watched. Yes, I believe It’s a form of exhibitionism.

As I started writing this article, I started thinking about all the instances of sex in public I have used in my books. By the Book is rift with them—in a theater, the ocean, the bathroom of a bar (where two barflies catch and watch them), in a night club (where they are caught on closed circuit TV and everyone couplesclaps for them as they leave red-faced). In addition, examples of sex in public places heat up the pages of Love and Seduction in Las Vegas, Fortune Cookies, Legs, Getting Naked at the Hilton and Forbidden Passion. Forms of sex in public places can also be found in my soon to be released works, The Big Bamboo, Groovin’ ’n Waikiki and April Showers.

I write about it all the time because the fact is, people do it all the time. At work, in restrooms, in parks, in lomos, cabs and on subways (remember Risky Business). Some do it fully dressed, while others take some or all of their clothes off. Some do it in a tent while camping, where they are safe from sight, but everyone can hear them, or the go off in the wilds. Some do it on a beach, or in the water. Then there’s the ultimate sex in public—orgies, where everyone feeds off the sex of others. And in each and every case the participants couple at mirror 1find it exciting. Why? I don’t know. You tell me. Perhaps it’s their way of saying to the world, “Hey look at me, I’m ALIVE!

Have you ever done it? If not, do you think about it, maybe even on a stage with an audience? (I have) Would you do it? Would it be safe or reckless?

Author Interview by A.J. Llewellyn

1. Hi Dee, and welcome to the Divas’ dark den. How nice to have another man around the place! Firstly, I hope I am not telling tales out of school but you recently told me you are reworking your Eppie finalist novel Fortune Cookies. Care to share the reason why?
Hi, A.J. Nice shirt. Thanks for having me.

It looks like you want me to spill the cookies. Fortune Cookies, that is. LOL Actually, I’m just going through it and making sure the tees’ are crossed and the i’s are dotted. There were a few editing things that bothered me and while I’m at it, I’m tweaking it a little. Remember it was good enough to be a finalist, but it didn’t win and that can be disappointing, as you know.

2. Tell me about the Gizmo series…it looks like it’s very naughty, Dee…am I wrong or just a little bit psychic?
Oh, yeah. It’s naughty, but not as naughty as Bananaz. But you know A.J. When I get in those really naughty writing moods, I temper it with humor. Some say sexy and humor don’t mix, but I’ve never heard any complaints.

BTW, If you like, I’d be happy to give you the first two installments of Gizmo. I wouldn’t mind the A.J. seal of approval. Assuming you think it’s worthy.

3. I have read many of your blogs and they are to say the least provocative. Do you like to stir the pools of controversy my friend?
(Chuckle) I do get a lot of comments don’t I? We are in a provocative industry, so I write about some of the things we write about. Some of it is research. I was having a problem believing women enjoy anal penetration, so I blogged about it and found out many of them do.

I think the last blog I wrote was about fisting on the eXcessica blog. Again the comments were revealing. Anyway. What’s so controversial about male whore houses and sexual tourists? I’m not making things up.

Everything’s been tried and probably for thousands of years. Just not by us.
My next blog, you may be interested to know will be about the new fad, for lack of a better word, of discouraged middle aged heretofore hetero women entering into lesbian relationships.

4. You say your age is fifty-fifteen. This sounds like a tennis match. Who is winning? You or gravity?
Damn, A.J. Did you have to bring up my age? Is nothing sacred. Just kidding Pal. As for who’s winning, I think I am. Despite my slightly advanced age. I appear to be much younger.

5. Please describe your life in Cave Creek for me…you seem to love the desert – years in Vegas, Baby and now Arizona. To quote you, you haven’t melted yet. But what is it about the desert you find appealing?
Hell, I’ve lived in the desert for almost fifty years. Arizona’s a gas though. It’s such an interesting state and really I’ve just begun to explore the innate beauty here. Even the desert here and around Cave Creek is beautiful compared to the desolate desert around Vegas. And for inspiring beauty, I’ll put the Grand Canyon and Sedona against anything.

Then again. I’ve never been to Hawaii. Have you?

6. Um -yes, often! Can you tell me about your writing routine? Do you write every day?
Oh yeah. I joke about being a two fingered pecker. I don’t type. I’m a slow reader, but I get ideas, so I write despite the handicaps I face. I’ve always been an idea man and it shows in my writing.

On the average day I rise between 2 and 3 a.m. This morning it was 2:17. I make coffee, check emails etc. and then start writing. I write until eight when I go to work. If work is slow as it tends to be these days, I write some through the day. Weekends I write even more, unless we have something planned.
Sleep? Yeah, I get some. I go to bed at eightish. I usually subsist on six hours sleep.

7. I know you juggle writing with being a home designer/builder. Have you felt the pinch with the economic downturn or are people still building?
Oh, it’s flat killed my industry. There’s talk about setting up good banks and bad banks. I think they should make it good banks and ‘dumber than dirt’ banks. But you don’t even want to get me started on this. I’m carrying around a lot of anger. Writing is actually my therapy for this.

8. What’s the craziest request you ever had from a client?
Client? Seems like it’s been forever since I’ve had a client. Ya hear that readers? Help the economy by buying my books.

9. You’ve said in more than one interview that you are a man who likes women…as a male romance author would you ever write M/M or ménages where the guys go at each other as well as the lucky lady?
Hmmm. Would you really want me competing against you? Nah! I wouldn’t be much competition. I could give it a go, but I seriously doubt I could do a credible job. How about you? Do you think you could write m/f, f/f or f/m/f effectively. I try to write what I know or at least can imagine, which is what women writers of m/m etc. do.

BTW, during an interesting scene in Gizmo, using the gizmo our heroine experiences the same feelings and sensations the man in a porno movie experiences.

10. Okay, an off the wall question: what is your greatest extravagance?
I suppose, the fact that I have two classic RX7’s qualifies. Also, for many years, I’ve lived in upscale homes I’ve built is an extravagance, though I always thought of it as showing my abilities.

11. Oh, just for the heck of it, I’m curious to know, which living person do you most admire?
That would be President Barack Hussein Obama. I could go on and on about him but suffice it to say, I expect to see his likeness on Mt Rushmore some day.
I wonder if he’s read any of my books? I’ll bet Michelle would like to.

12. And which living person do you most despise?
Since our previous president was just a pawn, I’d have to I despise his default boss, Vice President Darth Cheney is someone I wouldn’t mind seeing shot with a shotgun.

Dear reader,

As a consumer of erotica, have you ever wondered how the writers of those titillating stories, which make us wet or hard, come up with their wild scenarios. Are they writing from experience? Do they have fantasies? Have they indulged themselves or are they all talk and no show? (like me.)

I’m Dee Dawning and I’m going to put these kinds of questions to some of the top Erotic Authors in the business.

I don’t care what they eat. I want to know who they would like to eat or ate! What motivates them? What gets them going?

Shall we find out?

This week’s person of interest is highly acclaimed author Jade Twlight.

Welcome Jade, seeing how we are trying to get a feel for the sensuous writer, my questions may be a little pointed, so if you have a problem with a question, just go to the next one.

Thanks for having me Dee,

First question:

How did you start writing erotica?

I’d been writing romance for awhile. Then stumbled on Anne Rice’s Beauty Trilogy and though heck I can write this. So my next work got a lot hotter and kinkier.

How long have you been writing erotica and would you prefer to write anything else?
Probably three- four years, writing erotica. But I’ve been writing in general for a lot longer. Not really, I enjoy writing erotica

Do you feel you offer anything special to your readers?
I guess that would be my unique world view.

What are your writing goals?
Goals? I’m suppose to have goals I just do it for fun. But I guess it’d be to have one book in print.

As an erotic writer, you are assumed to be a sexual person. Do you have any sexual hang-ups?
Scat eww, ick, gross, pedophilia, & bestiality.

As an erotic writer and a sexual person, do you have any sexual fantasies?
Oh wow. That’s a loaded question. I have lots, heck I did a full week about them on the blog I share with Tess MacKall, http://sensualnsecret.blogspot.com

Have you acted out your fantasy? If you haven’t would you consider living out your fantasy?
Sure with the hubby. Given the chance I’d try almost anything once. If I like it twice. Also it makes for good “research” for books.

From where do you get your main characters?
I honestly don’t know most of them just seem to create themselves as I write. I start with a name and description and the character seems to just come to life.

What is your preferred style, when writing erotica, ie. m/f f/f, m/m, mfm, bdsm, etc?
I guess it’d be m/f but I kinda run the gamete. With the excpetion of m/m I can quite do that.

Yeah, I have a problem with that too. What do you personally look for in a sexual partner?
Someone who cares about my needs as much as his own and has to be adventurous in the bedroom and sometimes out. lol

Which celebrities or other well-known individuals, if any, do you drool over?
I don’t really go for the celebs, now. Although when I was younger I had a thing for Tim Curry. I think it was the accent.

Do you sometimes get turned on by your own erotic writing?
Oh yeah, that’s when I grab the hubby and make a bee line for the bedroom. 🙂

Have you ever participated in any of the wild scenarios of which you have written?
Well some of the scenarios come from what I’ve done so yeah. But the really wild stuff like three or four somes and the extreme BDSM, no.

What is your most current release? Please post a short blurb or tell us about it and show the cover.

Excerpt From Mistress Of Tiethla:
Alex shook her head. “The Mastive? Is that a title, like a king or lord?”
Duncan leaned toward her till he was inches from her face. Alex couldn’t help it when her eyes focused on his lips and the rough stubble of his jaw and cheeks.
“He is a very, very powerful man. More powerful than any king or lord ever before.”
“Oh,” Alex breathed as he leaned back. She had to close her eyes and shake her head to get rid of the vision of his lips on hers. Never had she been so attracted to anyone this fast before.
“May I ask you a few questions, Alexandria?” She nodded. “How is it you know our language?”
“I studied languages. Yours is similar to one from a country in my world.”
“Ah. What were you in your world?”
Alex ran through her head trying to figure out a word to describe studying and digging up old artifacts. “A historian.”
Duncan laughed, his face broadening with a smile, which lit up his eyes. “You are too lovely and well formed to be a historian. They do nothing but write and read dusty tomes.”
> Alex smiled, blushing. It wasn’t often she was complimented. “The ones from my world are only slightly different.”
He chuckled again, studying her. His hands moved of their own accord, reaching out and pushing a hair off her forehead. When she didn’t pull back, he leaned forward and kissed her tentatively at first. When she returned the kiss, he deepened it.
Alex’s heart sped up as Duncan kissed her. What the hell was she doing? This wasn’t like her. Kissing some guy she’d just met not more than a couple hours ago. Then again, who would know, other than her and Duncan? What happens in Tiethla stays in Tiethla.
Duncan’s hand crept around to the back of her head, tangling in her hair. She parted her lips and teased his, toying until they parted and she could slip inside. Duncan groaned as she taught him a whole new way to kiss, tongues wrapping around each other. Alex shifted, pressing her chest against Duncan’s.
He pulled her head back, breaking for a breath as lust-filled blue eyes met green ones. “Alexandria?”
“Alex. Call me Alex,” she breathed, reaching down to pull off her t-shirt, revealing a tank top underneath. Duncan grinned and began taking off his own clothing. Alex reached over, grabbing him as their clothing hit the floor of the cave. Duncan’s hands roamed over her backside as she pressed against him, his hard cock brushing in between her legs. Slipping her arms around his neck, she pulled him into another kiss. Slowly Duncan lowered them to the floor of the cave, laying her on their shed clothing.
His hands moved from her back to massage her breasts. Alex arched into him as his battled-hardened skin touched the sensitive area of her nipples. Duncan’s member brushed her labia, and she realized this was her first time with an uncircumcised man.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I’m a multi-published writer, with 5 titles either out or in production. My most recent an erotic fantasy coming out this Oct.
On top of that I’m a married, stay at home mom, with one daughter, and one on the way. We share our home with 2 dogs ( Molly & Widget ), 2 parakeets (Coco & Fruit Loop), and a fish tank full of fish. I enjoy being outside, gardening, hiking, and playing with my daughter. When I’m not doing any of those thing I’m usually reading or writing. Mostly paranormal, fantasy, western erotica/ romance, but the limit is my imagination. Which is a little warped so you never know what’ll pop out.

I also host a sex blog called Sensual Secrets with fellow erotic author Tess Mackall.

Brand New Review Excerpt
I have heard so many wonderful things about this story, I just had to get my hands on GETTING NAKED AT THE HILTON. Man, am I glad I did. This is one of those rare gems that really raises your blood pressure and leaves you screaming for more. Dee Dawning created a wonderful contradiction of emotions throughout this story. As badly as Rachel wants Scott to be able to keep his hands off her for a night, she can’t help herself from wanting to jump his bones. Scott is so witty he had me laughing hysterically at times. The two of these characters together are a match made in Heaven, or Sin City, actually. What starts out as more erotic play definitely turns into a more heart felt romance in my opinion. I could almost feel the pull between their two hearts wanting to bring them together forever. If you’re looking for a smoking hot story with the perfect amounts of foreplay, sensuality and a heart-stopping romance, GETTING NAKED AT THE HILTON is the one for you. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed and you’ll become a huge fan of Dee Dawning!

Hot and Steamy is what this book should be called. Tons of sex, twists and turns, makes for an intense roller coaster ride of the senses from beginning to end. These three dimensional characters come to life to give you a peak at their most private thoughts and escapades. With the final results being a book you will not want to miss out on. But be warned this book can singe your brows off, be prepared with something cool to douse the fire.

Dee Dawning’s novel Getting Naked at the Hilton is fantastic, and man o man is it hot! I think being male, he described perfectly his female characters actions, emotions, and feelings. I sometimes find it hard to read an erotic novel written by a male, but this one was super easy and I finished it so fast, it was really difficult to stop reading once I started. The story line is easy to follow and well detailed, and it is a heart thumping read!

This week’s person of interest is highly acclaimed author Adriana Kraft.

adrianalogo03a

Welcome Adriana, seeing how we are trying to get a feel for the sensuous writer, my questions may be a little pointed, so if you have a problem with a question, just go to the next one.

First question:

How did you start writing erotica?

Let’s see, we’re a married couple, and you have to ask?? Actually, we don’t exactly write erotica – we write erotic romance. Our heroes and heroines end up reasonably content if not swinging from chandeliers! That doesn’t imply that they end in traditional monogamous relationships. Perhaps, but there may commitments among three or more persons. We write erotic romance because it’s fun for us to write and our characters have a blast stretching our limits. What we thought we wouldn’t write a few years ago is now integral to storylines and character development.

Wow. That makes me wonder how many other writers are actually a dynamic duo? Tell us, how long have you been writing erotica and would you prefer to write anything else?

We actually started with romantic suspense and got consistent feedback from editors that we handled sexual tension well and our sex scenes were hot. At about the same time erotic romance was picking up and the e-pub world was seeking erotic romance submissions, so we decided to try our hand (so to speak). The rest, as they say, is history!

Do you feel you offer anything special to your readers?

You mean, besides hot sex and enticing characters? Actually, we do write with a bit of a mission in mind. We especially lift up the place of bisexuals and delve into the continuum of sexual relationships. This permits us to get into swinging, voyeurism and ménage. It’s rather challenging at times to describe all the possible entanglements…Something else special is that we’re writing for both genders, offering scenes that partners might enjoy reading out loud together.

Adriana, what are your writing goals?

Doing what we’re doing now, but selling more and expanding our readership. Our characters are constantly doing battle with one form of ism or another – sexism, racism, ageism, classism and so on. We like pushing those issues without preaching, letting our characters wrestle with matters that are real to them, to us and to readers. We may write fantasy, but it’s often difficult to separation fantasy from reality, and we like it that way.

Do you have a favorite erotica or erotic romance author or authors?

Too many to mention! Seriously, we’re part of an amazing group of very hot authors, Midnight Seductions, and love to read all of them.

I know exactly what you mean. Writing erotica and erotic romance, you are assumed to be a sexual person. Do you have any sexual hang-ups?

Oh, we might have a few left. We had more before we started writing. Expect some character will come by and point out another for us to contend with. They do keep us on our toes.

As an erotic writer and a sexual person, do you have any sexual fantasies?

Yes.

Oh, did you mean you want to know what they are? Simplest answer – read our books! For starters, sensual scenes involving incense, candlelight, soft music, ocean breezes, time travel, a mustache gently tickling her where it counts the most, letting the tassels of a silk scarf travel ever so slowly along his torso towards the target. The fantasy of several pairs of hands pleasuring one lucky recipient is high on both our lists, or just about anything else involving more than two partners…

Sounds wonderful. Tell us Adriana, have you acted out your fantasy? If you haven’t would you consider living out your fantasy?

Many of our fantasies have come to life, often spurred on by our writing. But we’re rather open to new ones. There doesn’t seem to be a limit on sexual fantasy – at least we haven’t discovered one yet. An aside, one of the fun aspects of delving into paranormal from time to time is the freedom to create new worlds and thereby stretch what is or is not possible. Some of our characters can be quite convincing that if you can think of it, it can happen!

From where do you get your main characters?

From life experiences, from dreams, from musings, from observation. They seem to be everywhere. Sometimes we have to be very still to listen to them. They do have points of views and can jerk us around fairly hard if we think a plot should go in one direction when they are headed in another. Turns out they’re always right!

I know exactly what you mean, Adriana. Now, what is your preferred style, when writing erotica, ie. m/f, f/f, m/m, mfm, bdsm, etc?

You had to ask! We like to mix it up. Usually we have the combos that three or four people of both genders can come up with. We have written mild bdsm. So far only once have we done m/m. That really surprised us. Expect there will be more of that in the future.

What do you personally look for in a sexual partner?

Spark, adventurousness, sensuousness, playfulness—in a committed relationship, for ourselves and for our characters, we expect greater depth of emotion, to the extent that the sexual and the spiritual become inseparable. Not all sexual partners end up in long term committed relationships…could go on and on here!

Have you ever crossed any sexual taboos, ie. sex in a public place?

Of course. But we only whisper to each other about taboos. Some matters are best left as mysteries.

If so, did you regret it? Or maybe found it exhilarating?

No regrets!

Which celebrities or other well known individuals, if any, do you drool over?

Which one of us? This is a his-and-hers question – she drools over Johnny Depp, Robert Redford, Richard Gere, not to mention Dee and Nina. He drools over every female character we write…

Dee? (raised eyebrow) Yes, I have to admit I do a little of what he does. LOL Do you sometimes get turned on by your own erotic writing?

Absolutely yes – if we don’t, there’s a problem! We often joke about the hardness or wetness factor. Very helpful for writing, but can get in the way when editing. Difficult to focus.

Yes, I hear it’s difficult for the editors and proof readers as well. Tell us, do you do anything about it?

We often read scenes we’ve written out loud as part of foreplay. We hope our readers will, too. If it doesn’t work for us, it won’t for readers. And then it’s time to revise, revise, revise.

Have you ever participated in any of the wild scenarios of which you have written?

Yes.

Oh, there you go again, wanting details! Short answer – of course! Which ones? Read our books and guess!

In your estimation, what is the sexiest book/story you have written? Do you have a sexy passage that you would share with us?

Can we give you two, one from each of us?

Be my guest.

He especially enjoys the fire imagery in this excerpt from Seducing Cat, coming to Whiskey Creek Torrid in April, 2009 (she thinks he just wants to be the flame…)

Later, Cat came downstairs and surveyed the darkened living room. Her skin heated as she was flooded with visions of their first time together on the carpet in front of the easy chair. Would she ever be able to use this room without remembering the three of them laughing and exploring?
She’d damn well try. She shivered from a chill and pulled her robe tight around her body. She’d exorcise them from this space if it was the last thing she did. Cat placed kindling in the fireplace and in a matter of minutes had a fire going. She breathed her first breath of satisfaction since early morning. A fire would help restore her soul.
She curled up in front of the fire and watched the flames leap and dance about. A wisp of smoke made her cough, bringing tears to her eyes. She rubbed them and concentrated on a log that was being eaten away by two tongues of flames.
The flames nipped at the log which at first resisted easily. Gradually, they burned through the bark and began nibbling at the log’s inner layers. The log crackled, but could not resist the incessant lapping of the flaming tongues.
Cat closed her eyes. Her loins ached. Her cheeks grew warm from the fire. She dozed, hardly aware of the victorious flames.
Cat coiled into a ball treasuring the flames licking at her ear. Had she become the log? Where did reality end and dreamland begin? She leaned into the tongue burrowing into her ear.
Heat from the flames caressed her naked breasts. She basked like a kitten. Flames began to nip at her loins. She widened her hips, not wanting to impede the flames. She tingled and quivered under the steady attention of the flames. They’d started a fire deep inside her. She wanted more. She had to have more. She slid her fingers down toward her mound seeking relief.
They intertwined with fingers already there. “What?”
“Don’t worry,” whispered the familiar husky voice. “I’m here. I’m not going anywhere. You’re so warm. Let me love you.”

She picked this yummy f/f scene with a touch of voyeurism from Writing Skin, sequel to The Diary, coming to Extasy May 1st, 2009 (well, of course, he’d like to be the person watching…)

Luci paid no attention to Frank once Chai settled on the bed. She’d been waiting for this moment seemingly forever. She held out her arms and Chai glided into them, crushing their breasts together. Their mouths collided. Giggling, they chased each other’s tongues. Eventually they slowed to a saner pace.
Urgency was replaced with awareness that they were where they wanted to be—Luci had no need to rush to get somewhere else. In that shifting moment, Luci experienced an overwhelming sense of being loved. While it was a rare feeling, it wasn’t totally foreign.
Chai’s mouth encircled a breast and her palm covered Luci’s pussy. Luci raised her knees, placing her feet flat on the bed. Fighting for breath, she bucked against the finger penetrating her folds, seeking her heat. “Oh yes,” she whimpered, as Chai curled that finger upward toward her internal button. “I want to come for you.”

Very nice. Both of you. What is your most current release? Please post a short blurb or tell us about it.

Mistress of Purgatory Point is coming to Extasy January 1st – let’s hear it for the older heroine! This book has m/f, f/f, m/f/m, voyeurism, a taste of bdsm, ghosts…endless possibilities!

purgatorypoint-1

Not quite fifty, recently widowed Martha Richards has just purchased the old sturdy house at the tip of Purgatory Point overlooking Minnesota’s Boundary Waters. She and her pastor husband often dreamed of retiring there on their summer canoe trips. Now, she welcomes the solitude and time to hone her jewelry making craft.

Forest Ranger Dan Ford, her reticent neighbor to the south, thinks the aloof newcomer has no clue what it takes to survive North Woods winters. Reluctantly, he volunteers to help her prepare the place for the inevitable blizzards.

Martha is shocked when local shop owner Natalie Bjorg says her jewelry exudes erotic passion. Natalie doesn’t stop there, but explains that as the new Mistress of Purgatory Point, Martha now holds the key to release its two ghosts: Ben and Stella have been trapped between worlds for nearly a century, waiting for an owner of their home to discover a love that matches their own and set them free.

One man, two women and two ghosts keep love’s fires burning through the deep chill of a North Woods winter—but which love will hold the key?

Lastly, just for fun. What are some of you favorite words or descriptions (even off color) for various male and female private parts or what can be done to them?

Can’t say we have favorite words (characters sort of pick and choose in the heat of the moment what fits best for them)—we certainly have favorite things that can be done to them. But readers will have to read the books to discover what those are.

Thank you for being this week’s guinea… ah er, guest and sharing with your fans. I hope you have found our questions… umm, stimulating.

Bobbie, Gary, and Vinnie could all be considered heroes in this twisted tale.
All of them certainly play major roles in Loretta’s life.

Loretta is a beautiful woman who puts a new meaning to the phrase, ridden
hard and put away wet.

This is an intriguing winding tale of one woman, her challenged life, and the
men who affected it in such a stupendous way.

You know it’s kind of funny with your books Dee, they appear so light hearted on the outside,
but inside they hit some really significant issues. This book was extremely complex, but you
pulled off a lovely story through a myriad of complexity. I was impressed! In some ways this
story was all sex, yet in other ways it was complete desolation. I totally enjoyed the happy ever
after, which is one of those things that make me tick, but the twists and turns it took to get there
were phenomenal. Very creative and very intriguing, I completely enjoyed it.

Comments from previous reviews:

“I am always amazed every time I read a book by Dee Dawning. Just when you think the next one cant get any better, he pens a read that out tops the last. Love and Seduction in Las Vegas is more than just frolicking between the sheets. It is a story of understanding, love, and learning to accept the other, no matter what their past.

This read really leaves an impression.”

“LOVE AND SEDUCTION IN LAS VEGAS proved to be a surprisingly complex
story with a fairly tight plot and some decent character development
wrapped around a highly erotic story line. Probably not for the sensitive-the
plot deals with certain taboo issues-nonetheless readers will find the novel ”
steamy, scintillating, and quite realistic.

Chelsea is the bartender at Mojo’s and decides to tell her friend Mandy just what a louse her boyfriend Eddy really is. It’s what happens afterward, when Mandy really needs her friendship, that makes things really start to zing.

I found this an engaging tale of friendship in all its aspects with a little “extra” thrown in for good measure. With keen insight, Dee Dawning has given me a read with wit, humor, realism, and some very erotic sex that just flows like honey on hot biscuits. I just wish this was a longer read.

Would you expect being awakened by a bunch of giggling to lead to your biggest fantasy being fulfilled? Well, neither does Joel, but he’s mightily thankful when he finds his girlfriend Teri and three of her friends practicing “technique” in his kitchen. What follows is the rollicking afternoon to end all time.

With Bananaz, Dee has given me an insight into just how funny and how much fun sex can really be, from anyone’s point of view. The descriptions both arouse and make you smile, if not downright laugh, at the visuals they create, while I just have to wonder how the heck Joel will walk the next day…or if he’ll even be able to get up. It’s a frolic that starts on page one and made me wish it were a whole lot longer. Thanks, Dee.

This week’s person of interest is highly acclaimed author Kissa Starling.

Welcome Kissa, seeing how we are trying to get a feel for the sensuous writer, my questions may be a little pointed, so if you have a problem with a question, just go to the next one.

First question:

How did you start writing erotica?
I love reading erotic stories and one day I was browsing the web and happened upon a website for female authors. I published two free stories there and then moved onto a contest a few weeks later. After that I found more research than I needed and the balls to submit several stories. There was no stopping me after that.

How long have you been writing erotica and would you prefer to write anything else?
I’ve been writing erotica about two years. I love to write- it doesn’t have to be erotica. I write whatever my mood strikes me to write. Sometimes that’s old-time nostalgic and sometimes it’s down and dirty sex with a stranger watching.

Do you feel you offer anything special to your readers? But of course; I wouldn’t offer up my stories otherwise. I am special- therefore anything I write is special. My stories come from deep inside of me and reflect me in some shape, form, or matter so with every story I give a bit of myself. Who could refuse that?

What are your writing goals?
I have several published stories out but I have yet to finish my first full-length novel. That is my most immediate goal. After that I plan to query agents and sell that novel. I would like to make writing a full time career in the next five years. Even more immediate- I’d like to win the lottery and write beside the water somewhere while I tan in the nude with a frozen drink in my hand (umbrella of course) served by a hot island person- male or female it matters not to me. Several island people would be even better. One to rub each arm, leg, and ooops, I’m in the middle of an interview aren’t I? Always daydreaming…

LOL. Do you have a favorite erotica or erotic romance author or authors?
There are so many good ones out there online and in print. Like so many things in my life it depends on my mood. I love rewritten fairy tales and have even written a few of those myself. I think that group Midnight Seductions Authors has some of the hottest writing I’ve come across in a few years. Their authors write everything from sweet and sappy to shockingly hot and sexy. I will say that my erotic readings started with V.C. Andrews and a huge imagination on my part.

Writing erotica and erotic romance, you are assumed to be a sexual person. Do you have any sexual hang-ups?
Oh yes, several. I won’t have sex with unwashed bums off the street. Now, clean them up and I’ll think about it. I won’t let anyone tie a noose around my neck and choke me during orgasm–which one would I focus on? Knowing myself it would be the pleasure and I’d die forgetting to try to breathe. I absolutely, positively, will NOT have sex on a sinking cruise ship- unless I am begged.

LOL. Well Kissa, You certainly are a lively guest. Tell me, as an erotic writer and a sexual person, do you have any sexual fantasies?
Uh, have you read my books? Don’t all authors write about their fantasies? I fantasize when I read others writing, I fantasize when I read my own. Heck I fantasize reading the back of a box of cornflakes. Is it almost time for breakfast?

Have you acted out your fantasy? If you haven’t would you consider living out your fantasy?
There’s nothing I wouldn’t consider doing to act out mine, or a lover’s, fantasies. (Refer back to sexual hang-up question) Of course I’ve acted out some of my fantasies. Wouldn’t do them justice to let them just sit around in my head all day. Every time I act one out I make up three more. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. Besides, I have to have something to do when I’m in meetings and supposed to be listening.

(Smile) Ah, Kissa, You’re a lady after my heart. Now, from where do you get your main characters?
I love to watch people. Whether it be at the local supermarket or in the middle of a club, I love to observe their personalities. I use a mixture of people I know and don’t know to form characters who are dimensional and realistic at the same time. My favorite part of writing is developing relationships between the characters. And then describing their most intimate moments in detail. I do a lot of ..um..research. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Oh yes, we must do research. What is your preferred style, when writing erotica, ie. m/f, f/f, m/m, mfm, bdsm, etc?
I’ve written all of those listed except for m/m. Lesbian erotica is what I’m into writing right now. That may change in the future and it may not. It’s another aspect of writing that depends on my mood. Regardless of the gender of the characters- everything’s a little better with some BDSM thrown in, wouldn’t you agree? Variety is the spice of life and floggers, whips, fur gloves- they all add a bit of spice.

What do you personally look for in a sexual partner?
Someone who’s willing. Seriously, I want the body, mind, and soul. Bring me all three, if only for a short period of time, rather then presenting them to me separately at different times. Sex is an amazing experience and should be focused on in the moment. And the moments leading up to it. And the moments after when the after-gasms hit. And during the meeting when your boss is boring you to tears. And….oh, sorry, on to the next question.

(Smile) As long as he’s not boring into you. Now Kissa. Tell me, have you ever crossed any sexual taboos, ie. sex in a public place?
Not unless you consider state parks, open grassy areas next to train tracks, going down the highway in a car, or suburban neighborhoods in broad daylight public? I certainly didn’t at the time. Hey, things happen in the spur of the moment. And others are just well-planned displays of affection. Did I mention the back row of the movie theatre or dark parking lots?

Than you Kissa, You just reminded me of times at the Drive-in theater in the back of my beat up pick-up truck. Back to the interview. If so, did you regret it? Or maybe found it exhilarating?
I’ve weaved some of those things into my stories. I don’t do regrets, what’s the point? But the time the park ranger took out his little notebook and turned on his radio I did plead with God and all of my other resources to get me out of a ‘jam’.

Which celebrities or other well known individuals, if any, do you drool over?
I think Mel Gibson is sexy as is Ron Howard. Both for completely different reasons. I like older men so none of those young buff boys will do it for me. Distinguished is such a sexy attribute. The guy from Highlander definitely makes my body tingle. No one gets me going like my awesome, handsome, paddle-weilding hubby though.

Do you sometimes get turned on by your own erotic writing?
If I didn’t wouldn’t that be a sad state of affairs. How can I turn on others if I can’t turn on myself? Other people take coffee breaks and I take poontang breaks. Who has the better job I ask? ME, I say with a devilish grin.

If so, do you do anything about it?
Long baths, a high electric bill, love coupons written out to my hubby, and visits to the local adult toy store all help to squelch my needs. (For a very temporary time that is)

Have you ever participated in any of the wild scenarios of which you have written?
The right question would be are there any of the wild scenarios that you’ve participated in that you haven’t written about yet? And yes, there are a few. Don’t worry, I’ll get to those in time my pretty.

In your estimation, what is the sexiest book/story you have written? Do you have a sexy passage that you would share with us?
To date I would have to say Angel’s Wish, as yet unpublished. It’s a lesbian time travel back to the 1950’s. Here’s a short excerpt:

Fingertips traveled down across my collarbone and over the top of my breasts. I wanted to exaggerate a satisfied cat stretch, but I didn’t want the sensations to stop. I eagerly anticipated the strokes yet to come.
Nails set lightly on my nipples and then pulled up towards my chin. I knew that my secret admirer was a woman- or a man with very long nails.
I loved to play with women. They could be so soft and pliable. My nipples stood at attention and ached for more attention. I reached around and cupped the underside of both breasts to push them together. I heard a moan behind me that could only be interpreted as appreciation.
“You’ve missed something. Lick them.”
I felt a tongue circle my nipple and a soft bite in the center.
“Careful,” I whispered, “I’d hate to have to spank you for that.”
I commanded my admirer to suck both of my tits at one time. Ohhh, it felt so good to be in control. My urge to top was second nature. I lifted my buttocks from the water and pointed to my hairless mound.
“Dry it with your tongue.”
It was an awkward position but the tongue bath certainly made up for it. A flat, wide tongue slithered all over my pussy. I wondered if she liked her pussies bare as I did. My admirer began to separate my moist folds with two fingers but I put a stop to that.
“Use only your tongue. Oh yes, this is the way I like it.”
The tip of the phallic object opened my slit as the thick, heavy part of the human dildo rammed in.
“Only the tip of your tongue should taste my clit.”
I felt the wet muscle lightly circle my clit and the sides of my pussy. This admirer took orders well.
A tongue rolled together and pierced my hole without warning.

Very nice. Tell me, what is your most recent release? Please post a short blurb or tell us about it. Robert’s Story is coming soon to Red Rose Publishing. It’s a short fantasy story from the male POV. Robert is a dominate married to Nicole who has a hard limit. But guess what turns him on most of all? You’ve got it- the taboo hard limit. She tries to placate him with other women but it’s her that he really wants. You’ll have to read more to find out if this issue breaks up their marriage or brings them even closer together. I plan to write more fantasies in the male POV in the future. Robert’s Story is coming soon to Red Rose Publishing http://www.redrosepublishing.com

Lastly, just for fun. What are some of you favorite words or descriptions (even off color) for various male and female private parts or what can be done to them?
Now this question is just funny. I’m working on a Valentine story and asked everyone I knew name they use for a woman’s vagina. I’ll share a few here:
peakachoo, pocket, poonoony, mah junk, kiki, poodle, vagingo, pleasure garden, vajayjay, foo-foo, cunny, flapper, and one of my favorite- Davy Jone’s locker! Hahaha Life is nothing without humor. I had tons of responses to that question and hope to use everyone of them in this story I’m working on. If anyone has one you’d like to share please email it to me at kissa_starling@yahoo.com As much as I like dirty talk in the bedroom I don’t call the male parts too much of anything because I’m always using my mouth to further the cause.

Whooohoo! With that we’ll close. Thank you for being this week’s guinea… ah er, guest, Kissa and sharing with your fans. I hope you have found our questions… umm, stimulating.
Thank you for providing yet another incriminating Google search item for my family and friends to find. Hee, hee.

Hi everyone, I’ve been so busy with moving and new works in project that I haven’t been keeping up with my blog. In fact I have received several reviews on my new releases in the last couple months that I will be posting, but to start with hear is one that surprised me on my oldest and just maybe my best book, FORTUNE COOKIES.

Fortune Cookies
Dee Dawning
Contemporary erotic romance
Available from Extasy Books
ISBN: 1-55410-750-4
December 2006

The Sexy Six is a group of six women who were in college together. Jill is the first to try a fortune cookie that she believes helps her find her true mate. She finds romance almost around the corner and can’t help sharing the magic with her friends. The romances flourish as they each eat a fortune cookie and share it with the man they meet within hours.

Dee Dawning has written a sexy, erotic tale of women finding their ideal mate. Is it magic, fate, destiny or chance that brings them all together with their soulmate so soon after ingesting a fortune cookie? The author doesn’t tell us for sure, we have to use our imagination. With seven pairs of characters whose story needs to be told when Gail’s sister Cassie is added Ms. Dawning never gives up. The great mix of humor, eroticism and relationship building continues throughout.

She adds to it with Rita and Gail sharing the tale of their abusive childhood and what they’re doing to help others. She varies a little from the primary pairs when Rita, Nikolas, Robbie and Tia try a four way. We get a ‘gotcha’ kind of thrill when Saundra finally finds strength to stand up to her unfaithful husband. She tells us that Mora’s openness about the life she lived to pay expenses when catastrophes happened to her family seems to cause a rift in her relationship with Cornell. He’s made of the stuff of heroes though so he comes through for her.

The author does a great job mixing people and the realities of life with an apparent fairy tale of the magic fortune cookie. It would be fun to believe that single people could unerringly find their soul mate in such a simple way. Ah, fiction, I love what it does for us. And I love the way Dee Dawning has built this excellent tale.
